Music
It’s been a while since my last post. I blame my own stubbornness for boycotting my blog after my failed attempts to get the page to work properly (I don’t know why the page screwed up).
Anyho~~ back to my very own tips when writing.
Not sure if I have written this before (I think I did) but MUSIC HELPS.
Recently, when I was writing a short story for a friend, I was listening to The Last Story OST.
For one, it is to get the “feel” of the story as the music fits the storyline quite nicely. And whenever necessary, I put a single song on loop so my emotions while writing won’t get jumbled up from feeling mellow into a war-zone state-of-mind.If I find myself stuck, I change to another to reset my emotions and try to write again.
Here are some OSTs I listen to when I write:
The Last Story – for a nice mix of love & war
Nier Replicant/Gestalt – for emotionally charged dark feel
Final Fantasy IX – for peace & war
Final Fantasy XIII / XIII-2 – for fast-paced battles
Kingdom Hearts – for a tinge of childlike innocence and fights
Eternal Sonata – for classical mix of peace & battle songs
(Yeah… it’s all gaming music…hehehee~)
Nothing to do here…
I accomplished nothing specific these past months… I felt like watching the months fly by me.
Let’s recount:
Read a trading book
Refined (?) my trading system
Drafted a few scenes for my novel
Started a short fan-fiction on a whim
I still think I’m better with words O_o
Going Green!!
I have to admit, I do use a schedule to plan my days/weeks/months/year. The confession is this: it’s almost empty.
Because I do my stuff on a whim, so there’s no point writing it down since I’m doing it NOW. And when I DO write, I tend to forget to open the schedule, so I end up NOT doing what I wrote and planned to do. My schedule is more like a checklist, really.
So, I’ve decided to downloaded ColourNote (an Android app) and begin writing reminders and To Do lists into my mobile. WHY?
Because there’s an annoying alert thingy on the screen which forces me to look at it and check it off. Surprisingly, it works, for a few days now.I even managed to squeeze some time out for other non-work related activities and even for writing. Yup, I haven’t been writing as much as I think I should lately. Nanowrimo doesn’t fuel my writing engine either.
Life goes on~
Today is 11/11/11
Happens once in a hundred years.
And we’re all planning to do something special about it, even if we may be at school, at work, or at home.
At 11:11:11 on 11/11/11 … I’m going to make a big wish:
“LET ME BE A CHANGER OF THE WORLD”
It’s 9.10AM now… and I’m counting down =)
What is your wish on this special time & day? Or are you doing something special at 11:11:11 today? …like cartwheeling at the office? =D
NaNoWriMo – 8th day
8 days into Nanowrimo… and I’ve done nothing but writing crap!! >.<
I’m not planning to start a novel for Nano. I’m planning to finish up my fanfics and half-written fics!!!
It’s all in pieces, so it’s just a matter of piecing the pieces together like a puzzle @.@
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE~!!!
